Lateral Flow Nucleic Acid Assay

Lateral Flow Nucleic Acid Assay

About Us

For nucleic acid tests, two different binding principles are available: nucleic acid lateral flow (NALF) tests and nucleic acid lateral flow immunoassay (NALFIA). NALFIA is a test that combines lateral flow technology and the immunoassay principle to detect nucleic acid-related products like PCR products and genetic amplicons. It was developed in 2006 as a point-of-care (POC) test for molecular diagnosis. Lateral flow nucleic acid tests are simple and easy-to-use POC products and are particularly useful in situations where molecular biology laboratory infrastructure is basic or nonexistent. Over time, an increasing number of lateral flow nucleic acid tests have been applied in various fields, including infectious disease, genotyping, food safety analysis, etc.
