Our client is s looking for a team lead to manage and construct our user-interface and the tools that support it. We are looking to expand upon our early lead in a market niche to develop a full-service trading platform that allows backtesting, simulated trading, automated trading, and manual trading as well as a suite of tools for analysing billions of data points to generate new ideas.
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Leader who is passionate about both coding and team development. In this role, you will actively contribute to the codebase while mentoring and guiding engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, and helping to set clear priorities for the team.
The ideal candidate is committed to writing sustainable, well-tested, and resilient code while creating an environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement. Your primary mission is to build and lead a high-performing team capable of delivering high-quality products efficiently and effectively
Responsibilities
-Manage and lead our platform team with full ownership of backend development while partnering closely with our frontend leader to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
-Deep technical expertise and leadership with our technology stack, which includes Node.js, RabbitMQ, Python, and TypeScript.
-Own architecture decisions specific to your team's product area and collaborate with our other senior technical leaders on broader architecture decisions across the product stack.
-Build and implement a process and testing framework to produce code/features with maintainability, high availability, and scalability to meet the demands of professional traders.
-Build a strong team within the engineering group, building a culture of transparency and respect.

Must Have Skills:
-10+ years of professional coding experience
-3+ years of professional experience managing a team of more than 3 developers
-Process-Oriented mindset with experience improving engineering processes, boosting velocity, and enhancing production quality.
-Proven Experience as a senior engineering leader in fintech, trading platforms, or similar fields.
-Experience with distributed systems architecture, development, and operation
-People management skills to lead, mentor, and develop a **remote engineering team**
