Location: REMOTE / Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania
This job allows you to work remotely.
Our client is a North American leader in finance and lending. They are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer/Architect to join a small (under 10) team of engineers on their lending platform.
You will be responsible for leading an already established architecture and lending product line, working and leading junior developers and providing stopgap support between the executive team and the lending team. You will also be working on the code itself.
This role is not for someone who does not want to be hands-on and code.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and urgency of the features they build, a good understanding of product development and a focus on solving business problems using engineering metrics. You must have a strong grasp of Python and have experience in the fintech space (payments /lending experience preferred). You will likely also have experience building new products and building from inception to production.
This is a long-term, permanent position. There is a preference for candidates located in the EST timezone.

Must Have Skills:
Qualifications:
- 15+ Years of experience building production-level systems
- 10+ Years of experience working with Python (coding + scripting)
- 7+ Years of experience working in the fintech space (payments/ lending experience is preferred)
- 5+ Years of experience in a Lead/Manager capacity of small team (under 20)
- Experience working with high-level architecture.
- Strong grasp of APIs (calling and implementing)
- Able to operate in a high throughput, quick iteration-based environment (with potential multiple deploy cycles within a week)
