About the Role
We’re hiring a Growth Marketing Manager to be our only marketing hire- someone ready to roll up their sleeves and lead everything from strategy to execution across email, social, content, video, and events.
You’ll be responsible for growing our audience, driving conversions, and building awareness across all channels. This is a high-impact, highly creative role for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to shape the voice and growth engine of a community-first tech organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the full-funnel marketing strategy..
- Own and write our bi-weekly newsletter, manage the subscriber list, monitor and report on performance
- Create and publish compelling content across social media channels (copy + visuals)
- Drive event registrations, newsletter signups, and membership growth through organic and paid campaigns
- Plan and run growth experiments- test headlines, CTAs, landing pages, and campaign formats
- Create lightweight visuals and edit short videos (or brief external support when needed)
- Track analytics across platforms (email, social, site) to inform next steps
- Own our CRM strategy including the ongoing management and execution of our data enrichment project
- Build and maintain marketing tools and processes (email platform, content calendar, scheduling tools, etc.)
- Develop strong community or influencer partnerships to drive awareness and engagement for TechTO.
What You'll Bring:
- 3–5 years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally in a startup, tech, or community-driven org
- Strong writing skills- comfortable owning a newsletter and crafting content that converts
- Experience with email marketing, list management, and performance tracking
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) and content best practices
- Graphic design and video editing skills (Like Canva, CapCut, Figma etc..) and an AI curious mindset that will help us discover new tools
- A bias toward action- you take initiative, execute quickly, and learn as you go
- Ability to juggle priorities and wear many hats- you’ll be the strategist, copywriter, designer, and analyst
- A passion for startups, community, and supporting Canadian innovation
