Geotab is seeking a Data Entry Specialist will support the Accounts Payable Team by preparing source data for computer entry. The projects will vary in scope, complexity, and affected business area. What you'll do:
As a Data Entry Specialist your key area of responsibility will be to review data for deficiencies and resolves any discrepancies and verifies all data and purges files to eliminate data duplication. You will need to provide regular status reports to key partners to ensure the project is on time and meeting expectations. You will also need to work closely with other teams across Geotab to successfully support them where needed.
To be successful in this role you will be a detailed oriented and a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.
How you'll make an impact:

Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.

Process data by reviewing for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team members / managers for resolution.

Enter data accurately and keep data confidential.

Verify data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.

Data records management.

Enter records for Investment Companies under supervision.

Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.
What you'll bring to this role:

1-3 years of general office, administrative or finance role experience.
-
Quick and accurate keyboarding skills are required.

Understand logical processes.
-
Familiar with web-based databases.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.

Exercise a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent proofreading abilities.

Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Excel.

Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
