What you'll do:
As a Team Lead, Software Development (Generative AI) your key area of responsibility will be accountable for the end-to-end implementation and deployment of advanced Generative AI-powered solutions, designing, developing, and optimizing of robust, scalable software systems, and driving cross-functional projects, ensuring the team's work directly aligns with core organizational goals to deliver innovative products and services in the telematics industry. You will need to work closely with senior leadership of the department while owning the technical delivery and mentoring the team to reach their full potential.
To be successful in this role you will be an expert in modern Generative AI and LLMs, including transformer architectures, prompt engineering, and RAG systems. In addition, the successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of machine learning principles and statistical analysis best practices. You will also have strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skill with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions
How you'll make an impact:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge Generative AI software applications.

Oversee thedesign, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications. Ensure the architectural integrity of applications built on top of Generative AI models.

Manage, mentor, and coach software developers on the team, fostering their professional growth and technical excellence.

Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert, guiding the engineering team on a day-to-day basis and providing hands-on support for complex challenges. Own the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to a high standard.

Actively mentor and coach team members on best practices in AI product development, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their professional growth.

Drive the recruitment and hiring of top-tier Developers for the Ace team, assessing both technical skills and cultural fit.

Encourage and enable the team to experiment with new technologies and methodologies, making pragmatic trade-offs to meet project goals while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team. Manage communication with cross-functional stakeholders, translating complex technical insights into clear, actionable reports and presentations. Ensure comprehensive documentation of research, methodologies, and model designs is maintained.
What you'll bring to the role:

Bachelors in Computer science, Data science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields.

1-3 years of required supervisory experience.

Minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a software development or engineering role.

Hands-on experience with the entire lifecycle of a Generative AI project, from development to production deployment.

Expertise in modern Generative AI and LLMs, including transformer architectures, prompt engineering, and RAG systems.

Expert proficiency in Python, LangGraph, LangChain and SQL.

Comprehensive understanding of machine learning principles, statistical analysis best practices.

Experience designing scalable AI architectures on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).

Prior experience in telematics, IoT, or large-scale data systems is an asset.
