Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a GenAI / RPA Engineer to design, develop, and deploy conversational agents and automation workflows using Microsoft’s Copilot Studio and Power Platform ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to transition legacy RPA processes into GenAI-powered solutions, ensuring scalable and reliable automation across multiple business functions.
This is a full-time, 12-month contract role with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy conversational agents using Copilot Studio, including prompt orchestration, grounding, and multi-turn logic
• Automate workflows using Power Automate
• Build integrations leveraging Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable GenAI and RPA solutions
• Support adoption of AI-driven automation across finance, operations, and engineering domains
Success in the First 90 Days:
• Ramp up quickly and deliver working Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows
• Demonstrate ability to transition existing RPA processes into scalable GenAI-driven solutions
• Show high throughput as an individual contributor, delivering usable product within sprint cycles
• Build trust with business stakeholders by producing measurable workflow improvements
Work Environment:
• Embedded with their client AI & Automation team (~5–10 people)
• Dual reporting: point of contact at the hiring company + client-side lead
• Collaborative, innovation-driven, and fast-paced setting
Interview Process:
• Recruiter screen
• 1–2 rounds with the hiring company (technical interview with leaders such as Kyle Lamata or Troy Ruths)
• Final interview with end client
• Quick turnaround: ~2–3 weeks from submission to hire
Compensation:
Target: $140,000 – $160,000 USD annually (or ~$65/hr contract rate). Flexibility possible depending on candidate experience.
Must Have Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Copilot Studio (prompt orchestration, generative actions, component collections, multi-agent design)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Graph, and Azure Functions
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
• Exposure to Power Platform extensibility and custom connector development
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and frameworks in a fast-evolving GenAI space
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience fine-tuning and integrating LLMs
• Programming skills in Python and working with REST APIs
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approaches (e.g., Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio Knowledge)
• Experience monitoring and optimizing agent performance (Prompt Flow, Azure Monitor, Application Insights)
• Exposure to frameworks such as GitHub Copilot, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar
• Understanding of Responsible AI practices
