Our client is looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to help shape the core systems that power their platform. They are helping address the energy consumption and use from power intensive businesses focusing on Data Centers as their first market. The founding team helped solve these challenges in some of the worlds largest data centers, and are now taking that experience to build a best in class solution.
You’ll design and build the infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems that enable real-time optimization of critical energy resources across the grid.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving hard systems challenges, enjoys working at the intersection of performance and reliability, and wants their work to make a measurable impact on global energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs that process energy data at scale and speed.
Develop high-performance, distributed services in Python, Rust, or Julia.
Productionize ML models into reliable, scalable systems.
Lead design reviews and guide technical direction across core backend components.
Optimize time series and geospatial data storage/retrieval for mission-critical grid operations.
Must Have Skills:
What We Look For
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of industry experience in software development.
Deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and performance tradeoffs.
Experience with ML systems.
Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Rust, C++).
Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS or GCP) and infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform).
Ability to work in fast paced environment with high agency.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
Nice to Have Skills:
The ideal candidate would have worked with large data intensive platforms solving complex problems.
