About the team:
The Manual Receiving Team Lead will serve as a critical liaison between the management team and the Manual Transfers team. This individual will ensure that the team is aligned with organizational goals, drive key performance metrics, and promote operational efficiency. With a solid understanding of manual/bluedot transfers, the team lead will facilitate effective communication, mentor team members, and manage data to achieve team targets. This role demands strong leadership skills, physical security considerations and a robust data analysis background to guide decision-making and improve performance.
*Please note: This role is fully in-office (Toronto, ON Office) and involves daily physical handling of client materials (cheques, forms, audit documentation).

Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Manual Receiving Transfers team to meet performance targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact between team members and management, ensuring clear, answers-first communication and alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Monitor key metrics (e.g., transfer completion rates, failure rates, and turnaround times) and provide insights to improve team performance.
- Securely receive, triage and manage physical items in-office
- Collaborate with other teams, including ATON, Manual Sending, Institutional Follow-ups, Treasury, and, our Cage team, to ensure seamless transfers across various channels.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, focusing on skill development and team growth.
- Utilize data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within the transfer process.
- Oversee the implementation of operational best practices and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Handle escalations, resolve complex transfer issues, and serve as an SME for Manual/Bluedot Transfers.
- Drive process optimization through automation or other efficiency-focused initiatives
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in transfers, operations, or a similar financial services role.
- Must be able to work on an ongoing basis in-office, in-person in downtown Toronto
- Familiarity with cheque transfers, Fundserv, A$M, Bluedot, OTC money movement a strong asset
- Proven leadership experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements using metrics and insights.
- Familiarity with SQL and business analytics for reporting and analysis is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
