About AiiM Partners: AiiM Partners is a private equity firm investing in technology companies driving digital transformation across critical infrastructure, industrial systems, and supply chain innovation. We're building our Canadian team to support a growing North American pipeline and portfolio.
The Role: We're seeking a Senior Associate for part-time, remote work. This role suits a graduate student, post-doc, or a professional who is highly organized, analytically rigorous, and thrives in fast-moving environments. You'll collaborate with a seasoned team with deep domain expertise and a strong track record.
Strong performers have the opportunity to transition to full-time.
Core responsibilities:
Leverage data/tools for research, analysis, and modeling; build upon internal tools, templates, and workflows
Maintain pipeline tracking and deal flow management in an assigned sector; join meetings with companies as appropriate
Support select portfolio companies with industry research, analytics, data collection, and operational workflows
Help team produce comprehensive performance reports and analytics for select investment decisions, including comprehensive technical and financial diligence
Location: Remote (Canada-based, Toronto area preferred for occasional in-person meetings); must be eligible to work in Canada
Qualifications
Preferred:
AI/deep tech fluency: ability to evaluate applied use cases, understand model performance trade-offs, data moats, deployment constraints, and unit economics
Experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or startup operations
Required:
Graduate or post-graduate degree (in progress or completed) in business, engineering, computer science, economics, data analytics, or related field
Ability to build structured financial models independently
Exceptional attention to detail and operational discipline
Strong written communication
Work Arrangement
15–20 hours/week, flexible scheduling
Remote (Toronto, Canada or other locations)
Regular team check-ins
Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience, modeling capability, and technical fluency.
