We’re looking for our next Product Manager, Core Platforms. Could It Be You?
The Product Manager, Core Platforms is a champion for building foundational, highly scalable infrastructure for the Quest ecosystem. You will lead program execution and manage the product roadmap for the Fundamental Customer Capabilities Track (Customer Identity Access Management, Notification Platform, and Enterprise Document Management).
Need more details? Keep reading…
In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-
Security & Client Protection Advocate: Act as the first line of defense in product design. Ensure that all platform capabilities are built with a security-first mindset to fiercely protect our clients, safeguarding their personal information and their money against emerging threats.
-
Modern Product Discovery & Delivery: Champion an "outcomes over outputs" approach. Utilize continuous discovery habits to deeply understand the friction points of internal developers and end-users, ensuring the platform evolves based on qualitative insights and quantitative data.
-
Platform as a Product Strategy: Treat internal capabilities as tier-1 products. Define and rigorously track key product metrics (adoption rates, time-to-integration) alongside engineering metrics (SLIs, SLOs, latency, error budgets) to drive data-informed prioritization.
-
Program Execution & Roadmap Management: Lead the execution of the Fundamental Customer Capabilities program, empowering your cross-functional team to solve hard problems rather than just building predetermined features.
-
Identity & Access Management (IAM) Strategy: Drive the roadmap for robust IAM systems governing authentication, fine-grained authorization (RBAC, ABAC, PBAC), Single Sign-On (SSO), identity federation, and comprehensive user lifecycle management (Joiner, Mover, Leaver). Champion Zero Trust Architecture and the Principle of Least Privilege.
-
Notification & Communication Infrastructure: Evolve the omni-channel Customer Notification Platform (Email, SMS, Push, In-App), focusing on routing logic, template management, user preference centers, and high-throughput reliability.
-
Enterprise Document Strategy: Oversee the systems enabling secure document storage, generation, and retrieval, ensuring alignment with data residency rules, RBAC-level access, and enterprise retention policies.
-
Requirements Definition: Translate complex technical constraints, security frameworks, and business strategies into detailed user stories and technical specifications for core microservices, API gateways, and token management systems.
-
Fluency with Data: Demonstrate a strong grasp of internal analytics tools. Proactively gather insights via ad hoc queries to analyze project results, drive product recommendations, and set realistic, quantified goals that connect to meaningful business outcomes.
-
Distributed systems and event-based messaging: Leverage a solid understanding of our technical architecture to identify risks and dependencies early. Be proficient in navigating distributed systems architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) to guide scalable feature design.
-
API Fluency: Hands-on proficiency with APIs and tools like Postman is required. You will actively use Postman collections to test endpoints, validate data flows, and ensure seamless integrations between microservices before handing off to application teams.
-
Stakeholder Management: Proactively identify and align a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders behind your current projects and planned follow-on work. Integrate their feedback, recommend the best path forward, and escalate strategically when necessary.
So are YOU our next Product Manager, Core Platforms? You are if you…
