The role
You'll be joining as our first founding engineer and will work with us in person at our Toronto office to build our AI agent platform for construction. At its core it’s an agent harness customized around the work that contractors need to get done. You'll work on every part of the stack, from the harness itself to the web app our customers use every day.
We're looking for someone who can take a loosely defined problem and run with it. You'll own features end to end: shaping the idea, shipping it, talking with customers, and supporting their use in production.
What you'll do
- Build and extend our agent harness, including tools, skills, and how the agent reasons over construction workflows
- Ship features across the whole stack: the harness, evals, infra, sandboxes, and our web app
- Turn rough problems into a clear scope, then deliver them
- Help shape the product, tech, and the culture, early engineers set how we build and work together
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Experience building AI agents, skills, and tools
- AI-pilled, but not a slop cannon. You use AI heavily, and you still own the judgment and the quality of what ships.
- Strong problem solving and clear communication
- Interest in product design
- Customer-focused. You care whether what you build actually helps people.
Nice to have
- TypeScript, React
- AWS, PostgreSQL
- Experience training and evaluating computer vision models
- AI engineering (evals, context management, prompt and tool design)
- Sandboxed execution environments

Compensation
- Salary: 100-120k
