Being a Business Development Director at Kainos
As a Business Development Director (Digital Services) focused on the Americas region, you’ll play a key leadership role in expanding our presence in the healthcare sector. You’ll combine strategic thinking and consultative sales expertise to build strong, trusted relationships , identify new opportunities, and position Kainos as a leading partner in digital health transformation.
Collaborating cross functionally, you’ll help shape the future of our business in North America - driving growth while creating real impact for healthcare clients and the people they serve.

In this role you will:
- Lead business development strategy. You will create and execute a strategic growth plan for the healthcare sector in the Americas - identifying and pursuing opportunities, expanding our footprint, and building long-term value.
- Build a strong pipeline. You will maintain a predictable, sustainable sales pipeline, driving new business and ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
- Act as a trusted advisor. You will take a consultative approach to uncovering client needs – offering tailored digital solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Drive commercial success. You will lead structuring, contract negotiation, and financial forecasting - ensuring deals are both profitable and aligned with Kainos' strategic priorities.
- Develop strategic partnerships. You will cultivate relationships with industry leaders, technology partners, and ecosystem collaborators to amplify reach and value.
- Work collaboratively. You will partner with internal teams – from delivery to marketing - to create compelling proposals and unlock cross-selling opportunities.
- Mentor and develop others. You will share knowledge, support the development of colleagues, and foster a high-performance culture within the Americas business development team.
Your expertise:
- Healthcare sector expertise. You have proven experience selling complex digital solutions to healthcare providers, clinical research organisations, or government health agencies. You’re confident engaging with C-level decision-makers and understand the sector’s challenges and opportunities.
- Proven sales performance. You have a track record of winning multi-million-dollar contracts, building healthy pipelines, and exceeding targets. You’re an expert in relationship management, negotiation, and commercial strategy - thriving in fast-paced, competitive environments
- Technology fluency. You have a solid understanding of software delivery, cloud, low-code, data, and AI solutions — and the ability to clearly communicate their value to clients.
- Team development. You are a skilled communicator who builds trust with stakeholders at every level. You lead by example, foster collaboration, and create a positive, high-performing team culture.]
