Director, Data & Software Engineering
We are seeking a senior technology leader with deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, scalable data systems, and modern software development practices. As Director of Data & Software Development, you will drive the design and delivery of cloud solutions that power critical business platforms, blending hands-on technical leadership with strategic system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Scalable Solutions: Design and implement cloud-native architectures across microservices, event-driven systems, ETL pipelines, and databases, preferably on GCP.
- Lead Cloud Transformation: Conduct cloud readiness assessments and lead modernization initiatives, accelerating the shift to secure, scalable infrastructure.
- Integrate Data Architectures: Seamlessly embed data architecture into application ecosystems, optimizing for speed, efficiency, and business value.
- Drive DevOps Excellence: Establish best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Ensure Security & Compliance: Build solutions aligned with industry standards for data privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
- Mentor & Lead Teams: Provide hands-on guidance to developers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Document & Standardize: Own architectural documentation and process standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with engineering, DevOps, security, and product teams to align technology with strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in software architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native systems(preferably GCP).
- Tech Stack: Proficient in Python, Go, or Java; experienced in designing APIs, building microservices, and implementing modern data pipelines.
- Data Systems: In-depth knowledge of the data lifecycle, including modeling, integration, analytics, and real-time processing.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on with GCP, Kubernetes, Airflow, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Front-End Awareness: Experience integrating cloud platforms with modern web technologies like React or Vue.js.
- Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or similar certifications are highly desirable.
