The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who will be responsible for leading the development and architecture of our client-facing web applications. The position is accountable for participating in and guiding all technical activities within the team, including estimating, sprint planning, software development life cycle activities, code reviews, research, deployments, and documentation creation. The Senior Developer provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that aligns with customer needs and requirements, technical architecture, development standards, and quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve challenging problems for customers and provide technical guidance and expertise as a senior developer. 
- Contribute to the development of high-quality software that aligns with customer needs and requirements, technical architecture, development standards, and quality practices. 
- Assist in building and executing integrated unit tests for all code modules, ensuring the delivery of well-written, intent-revealing code. 
- Lead efforts to ensure observability of the team's code and products, monitoring them in a live environment for high availability and reliability. 
- Produce thorough documentation outlining high-level architecture, flow, sequence diagrams, blockers, risks, and other technical considerations as needed. 
- Take ownership of high-priority bug fixes and collaborate with other teams to unblock customers. 
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and development practices, identifying opportunities to introduce them to the team and company. 
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Act as a mentor to junior and intermediate developers, providing guidance and support in their growth and development. 
- Lead a team of developers as the Tech Lead on assigned projects, collaborating closely with Product Managers to ensure successful delivery. 
- Participate in peer review activities, providing constructive feedback and guidance to team members. 
- Foster a learning environment through collaboration, shared knowledge, and leadership, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. 
- Collaborate with other senior developers and team leads to plan and implement features for large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with product vision and technical strategy. 
- Collaborate with product managers to clarify requirements and provide technical guidance on project feasibility and execution. 
- Participate in calls with enterprise clients, providing technical expertise and building strong relationships. 
- Leverage production metrics and stakeholder feedback to continuously iterate and improve team projects, advocating for data-driven decision-making. 
Key Requirements
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React and experience with design systems. 
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
- Demonstrable ability to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
- Proven experience in software development, with a track record of delivering high-quality SaaS software in an agile environment. 
- Experience in developing and delivering features end-to-end, using SOLID principles. 
- Experience working with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular. 
- Experience working in an Agile environment, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and processes, including Scrum and Kanban. 
- Demonstrated experience in actively keeping informed of emerging technologies and trends, and a proven track record of introducing innovative ideas and solutions to the team and company.
