Our client is a venture-backed health technology company developing a real-time interface to human biology. Their mission is to give individuals immediate access to key physiological insights moving toward a continuous understanding of how the body evolves throughout the day.
The company’s flagship product is an instant, saliva-based hormone monitoring system that delivers results directly to a mobile app within minutes. After several years of research and development, supported by multiple patent-pending innovations, the platform now translates complex hormonal patterns into clear, actionable insights that help people make better daily and long-term health decisions.
This represents the next major evolution in consumer health tools, similar to how thermometers and glucose meters transformed personal health management in earlier decades.
This role:
They are hiring a senior leader to build and oversee our full physical operations function, encompassing supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment.
You’ll define the strategy, implement the systems, and manage the execution needed to deliver our product reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
As the most senior operations leader on-site, you’ll collaborate closely with the COO and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence while maintaining speed and adaptability.
You will:
•Own the full operational lifecycle, from supplier sourcing to product delivery, with accountability for cost, quality, and throughput.
•Design and implement scalable processes for supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics.
•Lead the evolution from human-led to semi-automated operations
•Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy, including vendor selection, negotiation, and long-term relationship management.
•Build operational resilience through supply redundancy, quality standards, and risk mitigation practices.
•Oversee warehousing, inventory planning, and fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction at scale.
•Lead the rollout of planning, MRP, inventory tracking, and order management systems.
•Partner with technical teams to integrate automation and robotics into key workflows.
•Ensure systems are fit-for-scale, interoperable, and drive actionable operational insights.
•Build and lead a high-performing operations team.
•Set performance expectations and accountability standards across both internal teams and external partners.
Must Have Skills:
•Operational leadership in a regulated sector, such as diagnostics, food tech, medical devices, or consumer health hardware.
•Experience scaling physical product operations from tens to thousands of units/month, ideally in a startup moving from Series A to C.
•Track record of building from scratch: systems, teams, processes, and vendor networks, not just managing inherited structures.
•Hands-on leadership of internal teams and external partners, including contract manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers.
•Strong command of operational systems (e.g., MRP, inventory, production tracking) and how they underpin manufacturing and fulfillment at scale.
