Location: REMOTE / Nashville, Tennessee
This job allows you to work remotely.
Our client is a venture-backed digital health company changing how people with joint, back, and muscle (musculoskeletal) conditions find and move through specialty care. Rather than leaving patients to sort out their options alone, the company combines a detailed understanding of each person's symptoms, history, and goals with predictive models and current clinical evidence, then steers them toward the treatment most likely to help and stays with them along the way.
The company is remote-first with an optional hub in Nashville, and is in a phase of rapid growth and expansion into new markets. The team is collaborative, curious, and driven by the mission of getting people out of pain.
This Role:
The Technical Program Manager will drive the company's most complex, multi-team technical initiatives inside the Product organization. You will be the person who turns a product idea into a coordinated plan that engineering, data, product, and operations can all execute against, and you will stay with it from kickoff through launch and into the review of how it actually performed.
You will need enough technical fluency to understand how the platform fits together, including the application software, the data platform, and the data science and modelling work that feeds clinical decisions, so you can spot dependencies early and keep teams from blocking one another. This is a high-visibility role in a growing organization with real room to shape how programs are run.
You Will:
• Own large, cross-team technical programs from the initial plan through rollout and the post-launch review of results
• Act as the go-to owner for each program, keeping product, engineering, data, and operations leaders aligned on scope, timing, and status
• Partner with Operations to coordinate release planning and backlog refinement so launches land cleanly with the teams who use the product
• Surface risks and dependencies early and put practical mitigation plans in place
• Map how systems connect across software, data infrastructure, and data science so sequencing decisions are grounded in the real architecture
• Use delivery data and metrics to guide decisions, report progress, and flag trouble before it becomes a delay
• Raise the bar on how programs are run: refine planning, tracking, and reporting practices as the organization scales
• Travel occasionally (up to roughly 10%) for team planning sessions and company events
Must Have Skills:
• 7+ years of program management leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives
• 3+ years in healthcare technology or digital health
• Track record of bringing new products to market alongside product and engineering teams
• Solid grounding in program management best practices and Agile delivery
• Advanced, day-to-day use of Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting
• Comfortable using data and analytics to drive decisions and expose risk
• Able to read technical architecture and reason about cross-system dependencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to leadership
• Able to travel up to approximately 10%
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have Skills:
• Leading technical programs in another regulated industry (finance, insurance, government, etc.)
• Programs that span data platforms, analytics, or machine learning in addition to application software
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
• Release management experience coordinating launches with operations or clinical teams
