Your role:
•Lead, scale, and mentor the engineering organization as it grows from 25 to 100+ engineers
•Establish and refine engineering processes that drive velocity, quality, and cross-functional alignment
•Partner with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable SaaS solutions
•Set and manage technical direction, architecture, and infrastructure strategy in collaboration with the Head of Architecture
•Hire top-tier engineering talent and build high-performing, collaborative teams (focused in Montreal/Ottawa)
•Drive execution accountability through clear goals, KPIs, and continuous improvement of Agile practices
•Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CTO, helping elevate engineering leadership across the org
•Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and innovation while ensuring product integrity at scale
Must Have Skills:
•10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with 5+ years at the Director or VP level
•Scaled and lead engineering organizations (15–30+ engineers)
•Experience building enterprise B2B SaaS products and roadmaps
•Demonstrated success driving engineering strategy, organizational design, and operational excellence in alignment with business goals
•Strong systems thinking with the ability to guide architecture and delivery decisions without being hands-on
•Have built a culture of accountability, velocity, and innovation across multiple squads
•Experienced in partnering closely with Product, Design, and Executive teams to define and execute technology roadmaps
•Skilled at mentoring engineering leaders and building resilient teams through growth and change
•Bonus: Familiarity with financial technology, AI/ML-enabled products, or compliance-driven industries (e.g., SOC 2, etc)
