Geotab is seeking a Partnership Business Development Manager who will drive revenue by managing Geotab’s strategic Connected Car OEM partnerships and grow net new business. What you'll do:
As a Partnership Business Development Manager, your key area of responsibility will be overseeing the OEM sales cycle, creating and managing go-to-market initiatives, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships to increase revenue and market penetration. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s leadership, various internal teams (Training, Finance, Legal, etc.), and external OEM partners, prospects, and customers.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset who can work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. They will also have a proven track record in developing new business and a strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
How you'll make an impact:

Assist in defining Connected Car Partnership strategy to support driving revenue growth and unit sales through assigned partnerships.

Monitor and update device orders and activity through Salesforce and engage with opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle.

Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

Engage with Connected Car dependencies; Training, Finance, Enablement, Marketing, Legal, Sales Teams, Sales Ops.

Facilitate and participate in customer/prospect engagements for meetings, presentations, negotiations, proof-of-concept projects, events and conferences, etc.

Maintain strategic and consistent messaging.

Provide expert leadership and guidance to the team as a Connected Car Account Manager SME.

Educate and demonstrate Geotab technology and be the SME for all OEM integrated partnerships (GO device, OEM Integrated Solutions, Marketplace, the architecture, and MyGeotab) to prospective resellers, partners and customers.

Ensure Connected Car Partner and Geotab successfully meet agreed revenue, profitability and market share targets.

Attend in-person meetings, platform training, webinars and participation in customer calls/appointments.

Build Geotab credibility, brand value and trust with assigned Connected Car Partners.

Identify new areas for growth; propose and manage programs and initiatives accordingly.

Manage and lead our OEMs as a Reseller to grow their business and increase revenue expanding the Geotab offering.
What you'll bring to the role:

5+ years of experience in Partnership/Reseller Management, preferably in automotive or channel sales environment.

Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.

Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.

High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.

A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of Geotab and OEM partner organizations.

Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.

Experience in the telematics industry, OEM partnerships, channel management.

Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.

Proven track record in developing new business and accounts.

Able to anticipate and understand channel partners’ needs and develop go to market.

Creative mindset.

Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining Geotab and OEM partner relationships.

Demonstrated success in accurately forecasting account and volume activities, meeting and exceeding goals.

Ability to travel up to 50% (Passport Required).
