We are seeking an ambitious and analytically-driven Senior Associate, Finance to be a strategic partner across our rapidly growing organization. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will play a critical role in driving financial planning, delivering data-driven insights, and supporting executive decision-making to fuel EvenUp’s scalable and profitable growth.
This role is ideal for an intellectually curious builder who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is eager to make a tangible impact. You will be expected to balance high-level strategic projects with deep-dive operational analysis.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve as the finance liaison for EvenUp's Go-To-Market (GTM) functions (Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing), driving financial rigor and strategic clarity in a dynamic environment.
Business Partnering & Modeling: Collaborate closely with GTM leadership, utilizing strong Excel modeling capabilities to provide strategic decision support. This includes conducting ad-hoc financial modeling to address evolving business needs in areas like pricing, sales incentives, and new market entry.
GTM Strategy & Analysis: Lead in-depth data analysis on core operational and financial drivers, specifically focusing on customer churn, growth metrics, and sales quota/commission modeling for evolving organizational structures (e.g., enterprise vs. product-specific reps).
Financial Planning & Reporting: Contribute significantly to the company’s annual budgeting process and long-term planning. Prepare and deliver timely, concise executive and board-level reporting, translating complex financial data into a clear story that guides strategic decisions for non-finance audiences.
Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and drive operational efficiencies across GTM functions, with a focus on maximizing profitability as the company scales.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a highly analytical field such as Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategy Consulting, or Strategic Finance/FP&A (open to bank/consulting + 1–2 years of startup experience mix).
Technical Modeling: Expert-level proficiency in Excel with a proven background in building and owning three-statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Data Storytelling: Exceptional ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights and present a compelling narrative to executive and cross-functional audiences using Google Slides or PowerPoint.
Mindset: Intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic startup environment with messy data and processes. A positive attitude and willingness to prove yourself and work hard are essential.
