About the Role
Clutch is growing, and our DevOps practices need to grow with us. We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help lead that evolution—someone who knows how to build a great product shipping pipeline and can help us develop great devops practices as we scale.
Our engineering team ships frequently, and we're facing real challenges: managing the volume of changes moving through our pipeline each day while ensuring our quality checks keep pace. You'll work on a mature microservices monorepo, improving developer experience and deployment workflows across sandbox, staging, and production environments.

- Improve CI/CD pipeline, redesign and improve sandbox deployment strategy
- Develop infrastructure as code, maintain and extend Terraform configurations across multiple AWS accounts and environments
- Automate manual processes through scripting, reducing engineering friction, enhance github actions, and enable more reliable deployments
- Build tooling and automation that reduces friction for engineering teams spinning up isolated environments
- Refine observability, logging, monitoring and alerting across all environments
- Implement and maintain secrets management, encryption, and access controls
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a devops or platform engineering role
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and Terraform
- Strong experience with containerization technologies including docker and kubernetes
- Experience with process improvement through automation using bash, javascript or Python
- Experience deploying and maintaining a reliable CI/CD pipeline and related workflows
- Experience managing cloud spend and identifying efficiency improvements
- Strong collaboration and written communication skills, experience documenting systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with feature flagging platforms
- Experience with Monorepo tooling
- Experience designing an Internal Developer Platform
Why you’ll love it at Clutch:
- Autonomy & ownership – opportunity to build your process and influence the company workforce and at every level.
- Help shape the future of car buying and selling in Canada by leading a critical part of our customer experience.
- You’ll have a broad and direct ownership over [Field of work] during a phase of rapid growth.
- We are dedicated to attracting and retaining top talent with top-of-market compensation packages.
