Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Marketing Automation Manager who will design, build, and govern Geotab’s post-sale lifecycle automation system. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
As a Marketing Automation Manager, your key area of responsibility will be translating customer lifecycle strategy into scalable, event-driven automation across onboarding, adoption, retention, expansion, advocacy, and migration programs to drive quicker adoption and revenue pipeline. You will need to work closely with Product Experience, BI, RevOps, and Customer Marketing stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-directed professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. In addition, the successful candidate will have an analytical mindset with the ability to design state-based, event-driven customer journeys and manage complex CRM-integrated automation.
How you'll make an impact:
- Design and maintain event-based lifecycle journeys supporting onboarding, adoption, retention, expansion, advocacy, and migration initiatives.
- Build, configure, deploy, and QA automated programs in Marketo, including emails, tokens, dynamic content, segmentation, and engagement logic.
- Translate lifecycle strategy and customer signals into automation logic, including entry/exit criteria, branching, suppression rules, and escalation paths.
- Establish and enforce automation governance standards, including naming conventions, QA processes, frequency management, and documentation.
- Partner with Product Experience, BI, and RevOps to operationalize validated signals and cohorts into scalable lifecycle programs.
- Monitor performance of lifecycle automation and recommend optimizations based on engagement, progression, and commercial outcomes.
- Support critical customer initiatives (e.g., migrations, platform changes) with controlled cadence, customer-safe automation, and escalation logic.
- Provide guidance and enablement to Customer Marketing stakeholders on using lifecycle automation systems within defined guardrails.
- Identify opportunities for improving CRM and MAP infrastructures to improve: the quality of data captured; process flows; future enhancements
What you'll bring to the role:
- 3-5 years owning and building lifecycle automation programs in Marketo or equivalent platforms.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Marketo, including multi-step programs, engagement streams, tokens, dynamic content, and QA/troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of CRM-integrated automation (e.g., Salesforce), including data flow, sync behavior, and segmentation logic.
- Ability to design state-based, event-driven customer journeys, not just batch or calendar-based campaigns.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret automation performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, particularly for high-impact lifecycle programs.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a global, multi-stakeholder environment.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
