About the Promo Operations Team
The Promotion Operations (PromoOps) plays a critical role in supporting and accelerating Wealthsimple’s strategic priorities. The team supports Wealthsimple’s most ambitious and important revenue and client growth projects by ensuring that our clients’ promotion experience is as seamless and frictionless as possible. We partner with stakeholders across the company in order to: ensure the successful planning and execution of promotional offers and incentives, provide critical client feedback to R&D/DSE teams, ensure our CXO org is prepared and enabled to handle promotion-related issues, and build new processes to improve operational efficiency across the CXO org.
Our job is to simplify complexity, define structure, and help implement the most efficient use of scarce company resources (people, capital and time) as it pertains to promotions, referrals, and rewards. As a Promo Operations Associate, you will be responsible for managing Promo issue tickets, building and improving internal processes, providing feedback on all promotions, referral incentives, and rewards, as well as collaborating effectively with both the CX and Growth teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Gain a deep understanding of our clients and why they interact with Wealthsimple. You’ll work directly with our Client Experience team to shape how we service our clients
- Partner cross-functionally with Growth, R&D, Engineering, Core Operations, and Data Science to continuously improve all upstream and downstream Promotion-related processes
- Implement, monitor, and contribute to improving metrics for critical operational processes
- Create new and optimize existing business processes to improve our efficiency and reduce errors
- Provide clear, well-supported recommendations based on rigorous analysis.
- Proactively identify and address roadblocks, driving yourself and teams to action.
- Act as a catalyst, bringing the right people together on cross-functional projects, and leaving teams stronger after working together.
- Prioritize, build, execute project plans, setting ambitious deliverables, timelines and metrics

- Is able to multi-task (strong project management skills). You will be working on many initiatives at one time and will be required to prioritize among them
- Has extreme precision and attention to detail
- An excellent communicator and able to convey complex ideas succinctly and simply (emphasis on simply)
- Is understanding and empathetic to the challenges of scaling a business (emphasis on the challenges front line staff face everyday), but excited to tackle them
- Values honesty, integrity, and doesn't cut corners. Someone who does what is right, not what is politically expedient
Skills we’re looking for:- Demonstrated experience in an analytical role is considered an asset
- Experience with Zendesk or SalesForce is considered an asset
- Experience with Jira and Preset is considered an asset
- Experience writing and editing SQL queries is considered a strong asset
