We’re looking for our next Senior Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting. Could It Be You?
The Senior Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting is a critical "builder" role designed to spearhead the modernization of Questbank’s operational data landscape. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Enablement, this individual will lead the charge in transforming fragmented, legacy data into a "single source of truth" that provides daily, actionable insights for Executive Leadership and Operations Managers.
As a Senior Specialist, you will transition the bank from manual reporting to a sophisticated, automated ecosystem. You are responsible for revamping data management and governance frameworks to ensure the health of our business, from credit cards and mortgages to collections, is visible in real-time. This role requires a unique blend of technical architecture, creative visualization, and strategic influence, acting as a mentor to the Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting while navigating complex change management.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Data Transformation & Governance: Partner with the Data Governance and Operations Transformation teams to identify and consolidate disparate data sources into a unified, reliable reporting architecture; eliminate "data silos" to establish a single source of truth across the bank.
- Automated Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain high-fidelity, automated dashboards using PowerBI, Google Looker, and Databricks to track key operational metrics (e.g., loan processing times, underwriting productivity, and regulatory/vendor SLAs).
- Strategic Reporting for Executives: Translate complex raw data into engaging, "board-ready" visual reports that simplify intricate trends for executive consumption and rapid decision-making.
- Operational Health Monitoring: Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in collaboration with Risk functions to flag instances of fraud and ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Conduct deep-dive analysis into current manual data pulls to identify automation opportunities; relentlessly pursue the "long-term goal" of 100% automated reporting workflows.
- Project Management & Mentorship: Act as a functional lead by project managing large-scale reporting initiatives and providing technical mentorship and guidance to the Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting.
So are YOU our next Senior Specialist, Operations Enablement Reporting? You are if you have…
- Education: A University Degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Engineering. Professional certifications in Data Visualization (PowerBI/Looker) or Data Engineering are highly valued.
- Years of Experience: Approximately 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in data analytics, reporting, or operations enablement.
- Advanced Tool-Kit: Expert proficiency in PowerBI, Google Looker, and Microsoft Excel; experience with Databricks for data processing and Collibra for data governance is highly preferred.
- Data Visualization: A proven "eye" for design. The ability to create clean, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing reports that highlight the most critical information without clutter.
- Data Architect Mindset: Comfortable working with "messy" data and building the logic required to clean, normalize, and scale it for enterprise-level reporting.
- Strategic Communicator: The ability to "speak both languages"—translating technical data nuances for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Self-Starter & Builder: A "hungry" professional who thrives in ambiguity and prefers building new systems over maintaining existing ones.
- Analytical Problem Solver: Ability to look at a spreadsheet and immediately see the "story" or the operational bottleneck that needs fixing.
Compensation Information:
- Base salary range: $65,000 - $85,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
