We’re looking for our next Trade Operations Analyst, P&S and Buyin. Could It Be You?
The Analyst, P&S & Buyins, Trade Ops is responsible for performing the daily activities within Questrade’s Trade Operations team. The position monitors, audits and measures in-house processes and third-party services against SLA’s and regulatory obligations, then reports on the results.
They act as the first and primary point of contact for third party administrative and supervisory employees. They foster positive and productive relationships internally and with third parties, and they work collaboratively with all parties to effectively resolve issues.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete individual/team’s critical priorities for the day, including trade capture
- Perform trade reconciliation to ensure front office and back office systems are in sync
- Ensure all trades are acted upon by the appropriate deadline, while maintaining high level of accuracy and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholder
- Work with the Trading groups and external counterparties, such as other broker /dealers and custodians to resolve and understand settlement disputes, avoiding potential buy-in scenarios faced by the firm
- Issue buy-ins and monitor for threats for Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS) and work with management and Lending team to secure borrow to reduce risk to firm
- Must be able to maintain and build new relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate Quest Wealth Management (QWM) trade correction and other ad hoc requests from various departments
- Learn and meet new business demands
- Constantly monitor and review existing processes and seek to identify ways to improve performance and efficiency
- Be an integral part of brainstorming, designing and implementing process and procedures
- Keep current on Questrade products, services, programs, policies and procedures

So are YOU our next Trade Operations Analyst? You are if you…
- Have 2-4 years of relevant work experience in trade settlements/operations
- Have a post-secondary degree/diploma in related field or equivalent experience
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be experienced in building and maintaining solid working relationships internally and externally.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Have proven analytical and reconciliation skills
- Must be able to work in team environment, and is flexible with constantly evolving environment
Additional kudos if you…
- Knowledge in Google Suite, Google Apps Script, Microsoft, Power BI, SQL and Python an asset;
- Experience using Broadridge system is preferred
- Knowledge of Arrow, CDS, DTC, and Apex is considered an asset.
Compensation Information:
- Base salary range: $55,000 - $60,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
