We’re looking for our next Specialist, Communications & Employee Experience. Could It Be You?
The Specialist, Communications & Employee Experience is a high-impact culture-builder responsible for defining the narrative of Questbank’s operational transformation. As the bank undergoes a massive shift in systems and standards, your mission is to transform "change fatigue" into "change excitement." You will act as the creative heartbeat of the Operations team, ensuring that every employee, from underwriters to call center agents, is informed, engaged, and inspired.
This is a "builder" role where you will own the end-to-end employee journey. You will leverage cutting-edge AI tools to revolutionize internal storytelling, manage high-visibility engagement events (from leadership breakfasts to milestone celebrations), and design a physical and digital workplace experience that reflects a modern, innovative bank. By bridging the gap between technical change and human connection, you will drive operational excellence and lead the charge in ensuring Questbank’s culture is one of employee pride.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Transformation Communications: Craft professional executive decks, bank-wide emails, and user guides that "sell" new initiatives and secure buy-in from senior leaders.
- Strategic Engagement Events: Design and execute high-visibility "culture-first" events (e.g., Questbank Leadership Breakfasts, town halls, and department-wide celebrations) from concept and budget management to logistics and vendor relations.
- Workplace Modernization: Oversee the physical and cultural evolution of the Operations team workspace, identifying opportunities to improve office design, amenities, and environment to foster higher performance and morale.
- Employer Branding (Internal): Partner with the Marketing team to curate and distribute premium Questbank-branded "swag" and collateral that builds a sense of identity and pride within the Operations team.
- Feedback Loops: Establish mechanisms (e.g., sentiment surveys or focus groups) to measure the "pulse" of the bank, identifying areas of change fatigue and recommending communication strategies to mitigate them.
So are YOU our next Specialist, Communications & Employee Experience? You are if you have…
- Education: University Degree in Communications, Education, Business, or a related field.
- Years of Experience: 2 to 4 years in Internal Communication, Human Resources, Employee Experience, or Change Management role.
- Modern Tool-Kit: Expert-level Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets). High comfort level, or a deep desire to master Generative AI (Gemini, NotebookLM) to optimize workflows.
- Logistics & Events: Experience in event planning, including managing budgets for vendors, catering, and engagement materials.
- Operational Business Fluency: A solid grasp of Banking Operations (e.g., Mortgages, Credit Cards, GICs, etc.) with the unique ability to translate technical process changes into "human-centric" communications that resonate with front-line staff.
- Creative Branding: An eye for design and branding; you make internal communications look like a premium product, not a dry corporate memo.
- Dynamic Facilitator: A natural public speaker who can hold the room's attention, whether talking to entry-level staff or the Executive team.
Compensation Information:
- Base salary range: $55,000 - $75,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
