We’re looking for our next Network Administrator . Could It Be You?
The purpose of the Junior Network Administrator is to help design, implement and operate Questrade Global Enterprise Network and Cloud Infrastructure.
The Junior Network Administrator is responsible for effective support, provisioning, configuration and maintenance of multi-vendor Network hardware, software and other related infrastructure in heterogeneous complex environments (mostly Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet devices, and GCP cloud environment). This individual will participate in troubleshooting network problems, change management, routine software/hardware upgrades, implement test plans, network performance monitoring, technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of the on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
The individual, among others, ensures that Questrade Network infrastructure is functional; hardware, software, and network monitoring and management tools, and applications are aligned to corporate policies, procedures and best practices with a strong focus on documentation and high availability. Other responsibilities include abilities to resolve assigned and escalated support issues to Sr network administrators and cross functional teams.

Implement and support a functional Global Network (Data center/LAN/Campus/WAN/WLAN,IPSEC/VTI/Cloud).

Tier 1 - 2 level support of various network infrastructure.

Assist Senior Network Administrators to support Questrade’s Hybrid Global Network composed of Data Centers, Local Networks, Campus, WAN, WLAN, IPSec, VTI and GRE tunnels and Cloud Network Infrastructure.

Support and maintain various L2/L3 protocols and technologies, including, 802.11, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, STP, DHCP, ACLs, PAT/NAT and others.

Create and maintain assigned project and test procedure documentation.

Manage Network using various Network monitoring and performance, and configuration tools such as Solarwinds.

Manage 3rd party vendors and services ensuring a functional performance.
-
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule which includes performing Network Change management, software upgrades maintenance/updates and providing technical support after hours.

2-3+ years experience as Jr/ Network Administrator/Engineer in a mid to large-scale (up 1000 devices) environment with exposure to Cisco platforms(routers,switches,firewall, ISE), Fortinet and Juniper.

Professional certifications ( CCNA/CCNP, Cloud and Fortinet).
-
Hands-on experience in any Cloud provider (Google preferred) is an asset.

Hands-on experience working with various L2/3 routing protocols- e.g STP,802.1Q/X,TCP/IP,BGP,OSPF,EIGRP,IPSEC.

Solid experience with Network administration.

Strong network troubleshooting skills.

Strong documentation and presentation skills.

Eager to learn new skills and develop new techniques.

Strong attention to detail, comprehensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Must be able to effectively follow procedures and policies.

Ability to work independently or under minimum supervision.
Compensation Information:
-
Base salary range: $70,000 - $80,000
-
The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
