Our client is a venture-backed health technology company developing a real-time interface to human biology. Their mission is to give individuals immediate access to key physiological insights moving toward a continuous understanding of how the body evolves throughout the day.
The company’s flagship product is an instant, saliva-based hormone monitoring system that delivers results directly to a mobile app within minutes. After several years of research and development, supported by multiple patent-pending innovations, the platform now translates complex hormonal patterns into clear, actionable insights that help people make better daily and long-term health decisions.
This represents the next major evolution in consumer health tools, similar to how thermometers and glucose meters transformed personal health management in earlier decades.
You will:
•Lead development of the company’s cross-platform mobile application using React Native, as well as interacting with the TypeScript/Postgres backend services supporting it
•Work fluidly across mobile, backend, and platform layers depending on project priorities.
•Provide direction on architecture, code quality, long-term maintainability, and engineering practices.
•Collaborate closely with the CTO, marketing team, and data science group to deliver new features and product enhancements.
•Contribute to infrastructure, security, observability, logging, analytics, and KPI instrumentation across the platform.
•Engage with a modern DevOps environment and help evolve it over time.
Must Have Skills:
•5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with significant mobile exposure.
•Strong hands-on expertise with React Native, TypeScript,
•Proven experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions preferred).
•Shape the mobile architecture and guide decisions on state management, code organization, developer experience, and performance tooling.
•Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to ensure consistency, responsiveness, and exceptional feel across every interaction.
Nice to Have Skills:
•Working knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
•Proficiency with relational database design and optimization, particularly Postgres.
•Experience contributing to open-source projects.
•Background working in fast-paced or early-stage company environments.
