- Manage the Geotab reporting program including media metrics, wire distribution, insights, and dashboards (CISION, Meltwater, Google Analytics, and others).
- Coordinate and own the strategy and logistics of campaigns, announcements, media briefings, press interactions and presence at strategic industry events.
- Build and manage relationships with journalists and external stakeholders to build reputation and create ongoing opportunities to tell Geotab's business story.
- Monitor and evaluate evolving media trends, tools, and technologies (including AI-driven solutions) and recommend improvements to elevate communications practices and impact.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic communications and social media strategy.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, technology communications, and/or agency experience.
- Proven experience in media relations, including building and managing networks of journalists, trade reporters, and social media influencers, with a focus on North America.
- Hands-on experience with media measurement and monitoring tools such as CISION, Meltwater, Google Analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create compelling content across multiple formats including media releases, social media, and presentations.
- Experience with strategic planning, annual plan development, and reporting on media and social media performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; a postgraduate diploma in Communications or PR is considered a strong asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Confident, polished communicator with the ability to represent Geotab with journalists, executives, partners, and at industry events.
