Baseline is looking for a critical employee to help shape the future of our company: an Account Executive. This is a full-time in-person position at our offices in Toronto.
Who You Are
You’re a self-starter with the drive to own the entire sales cycle from sourcing to closing. You thrive on building relationships, tackling objections, and guiding prospects with a consultative approach. You are energized by outbound outreach and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to prospect, pitch, and close deals. You’re curious about market trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs, and you use that knowledge to position solutions that create real business impact.
You’ll have a real advantage if you’ve worked in the private lending industry or know it well. That knowledge will let you hit the ground running because you already speak our customers’ language. It gives you the ability to understand prospects’ challenges on a deeper level, have more meaningful conversations, and deliver sharper, more relevant demos.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect & Source Opportunities: Research and identify potential customers through outbound outreach, referrals, and networking. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
- Book & Manage Meetings: Secure discovery calls and product demos through email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach. Manage your calendar to ensure timely follow-ups and nurture prospects who may not be ready to buy today.
- Run the Sales Cycle: Deliver compelling demos, handle product questions with confidence, and guide prospects through the decision-making process to close deals.
- Collaborate & Provide Feedback: Partner with the product team to share customer insights that inform roadmap priorities, and with marketing to refine outbound campaigns and improve lead quality.
- Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records and provide consistent reporting on pipeline, wins, and challenges.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle sales role, ideally in SaaS or financial technology.
- Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quotas.
- Strong prospecting skills and comfort with cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
- Excellent communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you take ownership of results.
- Familiarity with private lending, real estate finance, or financial services (preferred but not required).

The compensation range for this role is $140,400 to $234,000
