Baseline is hiring a Social Media Manager to build and scale our presence across platforms. This is a full-time, in-person role at our offices in Toronto.
Who You Are
You’re a storyteller, strategist, and community builder rolled into one. You understand how to use social media not just for likes and impressions, but to generate meaningful engagement and brand authority. You thrive on crafting content that resonates with audiences, turning industry insights into shareable stories, and driving conversations that build community. You’re analytical enough to track performance and creative enough to keep experimenting with new formats, platforms, and trends.
What You’ll Do
- Own Social Strategy: Develop and execute a content calendar across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Content Creation: Write, design, and publish posts, carousels, short-form video, and thought-leadership snippets that reflect Baseline’s brand voice.
- Engagement & Community: Respond to comments and messages, spark industry conversations, and cultivate relationships with followers, influencers, and partners.
- Campaigns & Activations: Support product launches, events, and webinars with tailored social campaigns that drive awareness and registration.
- Brand Building: Turn complex industry insights into digestible, high-impact narratives that position Baseline as the voice of authority in private lending.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, CTR, conversions) and provide regular reporting with actionable insights.
- Trendspotting: Stay on top of social media trends, competitor strategies, and industry news to keep Baseline’s content fresh and relevant.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales to align messaging and ensure social amplifies larger campaigns.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of social media management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, fintech, or a high-growth startup.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
- Hands-on experience with social scheduling and analytics tools.
- Comfortable with design and editing tools and basic video editing for short-form content.
- Proven ability to grow audiences and drive measurable engagement.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn as a B2B growth channel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a bias for action.
